or session 2 we experimented with some of the basic techniques we learned during the class lecture on a film called Night of the Living Dead. We spent the final half hour of our class getting to experiment with Adobe Premier, in which I got familiar with some of the tools for video editing and testing out repetitive cuts with the scenes. Through some of the in-class experimentation, I went home and, after watching the tutorials on LinkendIn, decided to start some basic work on the assignment. I thought about how I want to communicate a dark/horror tone through the footage of “This is Marshall McLuhan”, so I put together a 30 second demonstration that utilizes cuts and jump cuts to create an uncomfortable jerky feeling that I want to evoke throughout my final project. I found success through using cutaway shots between the nuclear bomb, and will likely use these three techniques as the focus of my final project.
