Having generated a general idea on the box environment I want to develop, and sketched it out during the previous homework tasks, I set about developing it in unity. I cross referenced my own sketch and sought to recreate it in terms of its basic form language that I had established. Luckily, for the approach for the task, this will give me the foundations I need for my core interactable environment.

While developing my landscape, I discovered the use of a tool called ProBuilder that would allow me to create a quick rapid prototype for the general architecture of the environment that will surround the user. I made some basic building forms that could surround the box so I could test walk the character around the environment to get a feel for the general size of the player, as I don’t want it to feel overwhelming in scale.

I also began to experiment with a couple of ‘proof of concept’ ideas, such as seeing how the environment would look like as colour gradually came back versus all at once, and whether I would want audio or not.
