As spoken about in my blogpost in my first week, I aim to communicate a narrative themed around horror and sudden imagery. Some of the feedback I got in my initial video was about narrative continuity and establishing a sense of story to build up to the climactic finale. My thought process in choice of scenes was quite unique, in the sense that I would cut up parts of the footage I believed would help communicate my uncomfortable narrative about war, brainwashing, and death, and would review them.

When drafting up the storyboard, it was quite difficult to specify the times/duration as I plan to utilize very short lengths and many thematically resonate images to create the building tension in the two minute narrative. In utilizing the storyboard, I wanted to identify the key points in my narrative, which would be to establish the supposed ‘oracle’, the corruption of said oracle through the tyki mask, and the countdown to the final explosive sequence. I also found that adding “END of PART I” would be an engaging way to reiterate the themes of war demonstrated throughout the video.
