The “Growth Mindset”

Watching the videos about the “Growth Mindset” was a nice refresher, I learned about this particular topic in my final years of study during Years 11, and 12, and it’s a mindset I’ve taken on board as a core value. I’m a strong believer of pursuing a healthy, open, and positive thinking, which naturally feeds itself into my desire to learn. The “Growth Mindset” is an exceptionally positive way of thinking, which in my experience supports creative and expressive ways of problem solving. Adopting a mindset that encourages learning has, in personal experience, enabled me to have deeper appreciation and understanding of the world around me. As someone pursuing a career in Design, I think it’s more important than ever to embrace the mindset of learning, perspective, and understanding, as it will empower me to find creative, interesting, and innovative solutions to problems in ways that I could never imagine.
